We consider it a special privilege and honor to serve our customers, and we have the utmost respect for your privacy.
None of the information you give us will be given to other companies for any reason, as it is used for the sole purpose of serving you, our beloved customer.
SHIPPING and DELIVERY:
All of our chocolates are made by hand in small batches to provide you with the freshest chocolate possible. We ship throughout the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii.
To ensure your chocolates arrive fresh and with no environmental damage, we package them using the industry’s newest technology, with crush-proof trays inside of insulated shipping boxes containing frozen gel packs.
All items will be shipped UPS Ground, UPS Three-Day Select, UPS Second Day Air, or UPS Next Day Air. Please note, that in the summer, we may restrict these options to prevent melted products.
There will be an ADDITIONAL CHARGE for packages being shipped to Alaska or Hawaii. At this time, we are unable to ship internationally.
Please provide a United States street address, as we cannot ship to P.O. boxes. Be sure to include the appropriate suite or apartment numbers when necessary to ensure proper delivery, and that someone is home to receive the order.
Note: All orders must be received by 12:00 p.m. MST, Monday through Wednesday, to ensure delivery before the next weekend. We do not ship for Saturday, Sunday, or Monday arrivals. All orders received in our system Monday through Wednesday are generally shipped within 24 hours of being placed unless otherwise specified. During busy holiday times, orders may take up to 5 days to process. Regardless of the day, if we don’t think your chocolate will be delivered by the weekend, we will send it out the following Monday rather than risk a damaged product.
We want to make sure that we are able to accurately process your order. The details of your name, billing address, shipping address, and method of payment are critical. We cannot be responsible for errors in information that is provided to us. Costs resulting from such errors will be charged to you.
Packages are shipped with a signature release, meaning that the package will be delivered to your door without a signature. If you are sending a gift to a warm location, please tell your recipient when to expect the delivery so their chocolate doesn’t melt on their doorstep.
We are is not responsible for missing, stolen, or damaged packages after they are delivered to the address specified by the customer or for orders returned or delayed due to incorrect or undeliverable addresses. We are not responsible for shipping delays while your product is in transit due to weather, strike, mechanical failure, or circumstances beyond our control, and are not able to offer refunds for those reasons.
Every item we sell is carefully inspected before it is shipped. If merchandise is defective or damaged upon receipt, please contact us immediately after your package arrives. Shipping charges will not be refunded. Returned products must be in absolutely new, unused, and uneaten condition for refund.
If you have any special delivery instructions, please let us know at the time of your order. If the order is a gift, please include a message that will be included on the gift enclosure. This information should be included in the Order Notes section of the checkout.
We encourage advance orders as well. To request a future delivery date, please specify when you would like your order to arrive in the Order Notes box during check out.
Warm Weather and Shipping Rates … or Why We Might Expedite Your Order
Since our chocolates are free of preservatives, they begin to melt at temperatures above 72 degrees. Our primary goal is for you to receive your chocolates not only on time, but in the most beautiful and delicious condition possible.
We cannot be held responsible for melted chocolate, although it’s our utmost priority to ensure your delivery is successful. To that end, we may contact you to upgrade to Overnight shipping if the delivery location is projected to have a temperature above 72 degrees. Your package may be delayed as we try to reach you for payment of the difference, so please, when placing your order go to weather.com to check the forecasted temperature of your destination and to avoid delayed shipments or the delivery or melted chocolates.
Delivery can be expected in 1-2 days after processing. Most packages within Colorado and to the Denver Metro area arrive the next day and do not require expedited shipping. If you are shipping to a more remote area of Colorado, delivery may take longer than a day.
If you wish to receive your chocolates by a specific date, please plan accordingly.
Piece, Love & Chocolate cannot ship on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day (and the day after Thanksgiving) and Christmas Day (and in some cases Christmas Eve or the day after Christmas).
Local Pickup and Delivery
We offer local pick-up of your chocolate order at our boutique in Boulder or you may also choose to have us deliver ($18 delivery charge within Boulder city limits). Please make sure you enter a local zip code at checkout to have Local Delivery and Pickup options appear.
